Silver Cadmium Oxide

Vaculoy SC85 and SC90 are silver cadmium oxide composites with a fine homogeneous distribution of the cadmium oxide particles within the matrix of silver. They have good electrical conductivity, low contact resistance and are resitant to mechanical wear and welding-in.

Silver cadmium oxide is widely used in contractors where it's properties show an improvement over silver faced contacts.

Silver Nickel

Vaculoy SN70 is a composite of silver and nickel - it has a higher electrical conductivity than the silver tungsten grades but does not have as good a resitance to mechanical wear and arc erosion. The principle applications are main contacts and air-break switchgear, contactor contacts especially in d.c. circuits and medium to heavy duty relays.
